CCRC marked World Cancer Day with an awareness program beginning at 9:15 AM with a prayer. Professor Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Verma, HOD Onco Medicine, emphasized the importance of biopsy and early diagnosis, reassuring people not to fear such procedures. The CCRC staff performed a role play to educate the public, followed by talks from Dr. Abhishek Kandwal ,DMS CCRC, Dr. Ankit Batra Associate Professor Onco medicine, and Dr. Anmol Assistant Professor , highlighting the need for cancer awareness in rural areas to ensure timely detection and treatment.
Mrs. Reena Habil, Nursing superintendent Himalayan hospital, praised the dedication of CCRC doctors and nursing staff for their round-the-clock patient care, while Mrs. Sunita Kumar, Deputy Nursing Superintendent ,CCRC encouraged patients and attendants to share the knowledge gained from the program with their community. Patients and their attendants also shared their experiences, spoke about the impact of timely treatment, and commended the doctors and nursing staff for their care and support.
