SMS College successfully organized an online guest lecture on 13 December 2025 for MBA I and III Semester students, featuring Mr. Salman Haider, CEO, MOSPAM, who shared valuable insights from his diverse professional experience across government bodies, development organizations, startups, and the corporate sector. He spoke about his work with the Government of Bihar, the World Bank, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with a special focus on rural women’s empowerment, and emphasized the importance of combining academic learning with real-world industry exposure. Highlighting systemic challenges in organizations, he explained the Wells Fargo fraud case to show how weak systems can lead to unethical practices despite capable individuals, and clarified the crucial difference between profit and cash flow for long-term business sustainability. Mr. Haider also discussed the role of organizational culture and leadership by comparing Microsoft’s leadership under Steve Ballmer and Satya Nadella, advising students to carefully assess company values and work culture while making career choices. Coordinated by Mr. Ankit Kukraty, Assistant Professor, SMS, under the guidance of Dr. Ritvik Dubey, Vice Principal, SMS, and Dr. Ranjeesh Kler, Associate Dean, SMS, the session concluded with an interactive Q&A and proved highly informative and beneficial for the students.
